AIOTI Days 2026
AIOTI Days 2026 is the annual flagship event of the Alliance for AI, IoT and Edge Continuum Innovation (AIOTI). Held in Florence, Italy, on 28 and 29 September 2026, the event brings together experts, innovators, policymakers, researchers and industry representatives to discuss the convergence of Generative AI, the Internet of Things (IoT) and Edge Computing, and their role in shaping digital innovation.
The programme includes plenary presentations and thematic and project sessions organised around four key areas: Generative and Agentic AI at the Edge; AI, IoT and Innovation Ecosystems; Sustainability and Green Enablement; and Policy and Standardisation.
In this context, agrifoodTEF takes part in the session "Agritech Sovereignty for Europe: Building an Open and Trusted Agrifood Technology Stack", a workshop led by Gradiant.
The session explores how Europe can build a sovereign, open, interoperable and trusted agritech ecosystem that aligns with European values, supports farmers across diverse agricultural contexts and strengthens European competitiveness. It gives particular attention to open-source technologies, digital commons, standards and collaborative innovation frameworks, and examines how agritech solutions can remain accessible and deployable in remote and connectivity-constrained rural areas.
Bringing together stakeholders from industry, research, policy, open-source communities and agriculture, the discussion aims to identify strategic priorities, showcase existing European solutions and formulate recommendations for policymakers. Topics include hardware infrastructure and platforms, sensing and data capture, connectivity and edge computing, the data and intelligence layer, decision support and automation, and the market, consumer and regulatory layer.

The participation of agrifoodTEF connects the discussion with a European testing and experimentation environment from which the uptake of the solutions analysed across the agritech stack can start.
